When I first viewed Thierry Legault's photograph of the recent partial eclipse of the sun I was intrigued by what appeared to be the Canadian flag planted on the upper left side of our star.
Before I could congratulate the Harper government on having claimed sovereignty, however, the true explanation was revealed.

That is brilliant! Are we sure the Harper Gov't doesn't own the shuttle Atlantis? Perhaps they are staking their claim!
