Whooo . . . greeted me this morning?

This fine owl, like a Hogwarts courier, came to me this morning bearing a gift of Highland mist.
How lucky am I?

Lucky you!!
I suddenly think a visit chez vous is long overdue...
My owlish little mind is prompting me to wonder if you are celebrating another year wiser.

This popular toast by Allan Ramsay of Ayr seems appropriate:

May the best you've ever seen
Be the worst you'll ever see;
May a moose ne'er leave yer girnal
Wi' a teardrop in his e'e.
May ye aye keep hale and hearty
Till ye're auld enough tae dee,
May ye aye be just as happy
As I wish ye aye tae be.

This is a very fine owl indeed.
You know I'm not sure I have ever seen a real owl except stuffed or in zoos.
A magical creature.
Season's Greetings!
