For some reason the memory of the following song has been with me during the past two days. I remember it being sung by a friend (picture above) who is no longer with us.

That is a beautiful song - thank you for sharing it. I could not help thinking of all that is currently going on with our First Nations peoples as I listened to it. The lyrics inspired hope within me that one day there will be equality for all Canadians.
Lovely tune, I can see how it would play on a loop in one's head, not unpleasantly so. Reclamation of pride, customs, land, voice an ongoing battle for the people native to this land. Some, it must be said, have learned how to proper. And that is a Good Thing.
