It has been so long
things are peaceful now
memories of running from the flood
are hazy

I still see the wreckage
when I choose to pay attention
but why bother
too late to change

those lost
stay lost
those who remain
share the view

Thanks to Magpie Tales

The words are haunting, and instil a deep feeling of loss. And perhaps regret??? I wonder if "those that remain" ceased to be silent, what thoughts would they share?

Many truths in this and depth..the lost..no hope..those who remain....so much to reflect upon!

Gosh, rendered wordless.
