Do you ever get a sound loop in your mind, one of those songs that plays repeatedly in your head despite attempts to delete?
Lately for me it has been "Once in a Lifetime". Although "Stop the World" was always a favourite musical, one can have too much of a good thing.

Yeah, and why are there ever only 2lines at the most in the loop?

Tomfooleries? I am not sure.
I have not filled my life with women to cure the emptiness as Littlechap did.
The end of the play rings true on some level, however, as Littlechap realizes late in life that, after all the unsatisfying triumphs, the love of his wife was what he had always been seeking.
I too have taken a long time to open my eyes and ears to what is really important.
I guess the hearing aids helped with the ear opening at least.
