One direction

Life has been difficult but I wish to be strong.  I wear black but I do not wish to mourn.  I am told that nothing will change but I seek something new. I cannot move on blindly so I reflect, trying to come back to myself.

Why then, when I reflect, do I not return but instead see myself moving away?

Thanks to The Mag.

I do like the introspection in this poem...

Nice capture of the emotional blankness & inner turmoil ~ Are we really moving away, as if accepting life's events ~

A bit haunting...moving vignette.

Superb. Philosophy of a sort -- the sort to confound the philosophers. It's time poetry gave them a run for their money.

There are times in life that feel like this.

Moving forward is the answer! Lovely depth in your words.

Circular, in a good way, because it makes me think.

This is tortured soul indeed. I sense something of Hamlet here. Does this way madness lie?
