Well worth watching

This is a fine comedy which blends humour and pathos in the classic tradition. Michael Caine gives his accustomed masterly performance as an aging former magician who is not going gentle into that good night. Bill Milner plays a youngster growing up in a retirement home, lonely, frustrated and questioning obsessively the passage from this life by observing dying residents. The two strike up an unlikely and sometimes conflictual relationship but one which ultimately brings changes to both.
