Autumn on the River

Water passes
as does time
as do the leaves
and memories
of other years on the wane
fallen calendar pages
floating on slackened currents

But I am warm
there is motion
still enduring colors
pictures within
from times of shared love

Autumn whispers
what once was
may be yet again

I float and wait
float and wait
float and wait

Lovely...I like the notion of calendar pages falling like leaves...

Lovely sense of timing with autumn arriving and yet she floats giving no never mind to what lies ahead.
